Piaggio MP3 500
The MP3 500 is a Piaggio’s three-wheeler that has taken the scooter community and turned it on it’s head. Europeans, because of the tire spacing on the front two wheels, actually classify the MP3 as an automobile. Because it is sold by Piaggio however, most think of it as a wacked out scooter that ate someone’s Vespa. To call it a scooter, however, would be akin to calling a Ferrari Scuderia just another car.
The two front wheels of the Piaggio MP3 re-define the very concept of ride stability to provide an unprecedented riding experience. The front assembly uses two independent tilting wheels and is far more stable than any scooter. Wet asphalt or tough riding conditions that would test the limits as well as nerves of any traditional two-wheeler, become simply just another road surface for this three-wheeler.
In town and city traffic, the Piaggio MP3 has no equal in terms of safety. Ask any mechanic in Memphis that has worked on a scooters, and they will give you a long list of victims of downtown’s slick trolley tracks. The MP3, however, takes on the brake lever, side light smashing tracks, as just another bump in the road.
Piaggio created this product to compete with the super scooters. Put a top case on the MP3, and you have enough room to pack your waders for a weekend of fishing in Heber Springs, using the gas money saved for a case of Fat Tire.
The MP3 500 comes in two colors: black, or demon red.
